My sister-in-law's friend, Lindy (here's her Etsy page) recently got a dog named Patrick. He's a shih-tsu and though I'm not usually a fan of tiny dogs, this one was pretty awesome :) Lindy also asked if I would have this picture be my picture of the day, so here it is!
I got randomly upgraded to a full suite while in the hotel. This was my living/dining room area.
This huge bear sculpture was outside of the convention center where our conference was held. Seemed kind of weird to me but whatever, Colorado!

Once I was diagnosed with celiac disease, I found that I couldn't safely eat at Chipotle, one of my favorite restaurants, because of cross-contamination issues. I tried again on March 24 and the staff was GREAT! They took all my ingredients from new sources and best of all, I didn't get sick.
There's a family down the road from us who is having a difficult time right now. Rob and I made my mother's chicken soup recipe for them. It has a ton of gluten in it so I couldn't eat it, but Rob said it was delicious :)
For our first anniversary I named a star after us. Rob's parents framed it for us and we just put it on the wall. The star is near the Lyra constellation and is named Caitlin and Rob. :)
My beast likes to chill out with me while I do my webinars :)
I pretty much did my webinars for the entire week and this was the scene reflecting back from my window. I wish it wasn't so wintery outside.
We made breaded chicken stuffed with spinach and feta with our sister-in-law Jessi! We also made delicious asparagus.
All 7 of these bags are going to Good Will tomorrow! Yay!
I've been doing webinars every day and during one webinar I realized that it was snowing pretty heavily. Sigh...
This made me laugh, especially since Rob and I usually call college students "squirrels" because f their animalistic road-crossing habits.
Today we made feta and spinach-stuffed chicken with asparagus! It was delish!
Cypress has a history of destroying soft toys within minutes of receiving them. However, we bought this football for her on her birthday (March 5) and she's been loving it since then for some bizarre reason. She even sleeps with it :)
This sign (Emergency Exit Only: Depressing Panic Bar on Door will Sound Alarm) made me laugh for some silly reason.
No, this is not a real tattoo. :) I ate at a cafe called Betty's this week and they had temporary tattoos. I was bored in my hotel room so I decided to put it on. I'm amazed at how well it came out - temporary tattoos have come a long way since I was a kid.
For most of 2010, I was on a project in Houston, Texas. I left the project in December and yet I still find reminders of Texas everywhere, like this license plate.
After work I found myself in the lovely town of West Reading, PA, at a restaurant called GoodEatz Gluten Free Cafe. I ordered this lovely GF pasta primavera with garlic aioli and a "bread"stick, along with a delicious fudgy brownie. It's great when restaurants have decent GF options!
I saw this while driving to the airport. Really only a MST3k fan would get why this made me laugh, but here it is regardless.
Today is Cypress's 3rd birthday! Each year she gets a toy (she usually doesn't get toys because she annihilates them instantly and eats the stuffing), a meal of either canned tuna or [cheap] steak and vanilla ice cream, lots of play time and snuggles, and a nice bloody marrow bone. She gets these same things on October 6th of each year, since this is her adoptiversary.
Our dog is spoiled.
My sister sent me these tulips for helping her with a project at work! I thought they were beautiful and a very sweet gesture. :)
Dueling Computers. I've been working from home for the last few months and right now I'm on a project with three schools in PA. The VPN and database work can't be done on my Windows 7, x64 computer so I often have to pull out my dinosaur of a Vaio.
Every time I walk Cypress she attacks this stick, growling and yelping at it like crazy.
