Day 139, May 19, 2011
My husband bought me flowers as an early birthday present :) This was a great surprise to come home to.
Day 137, May 17, 2011
Doesn't this look amazing? I ate this at the Owl House in Rochester, NY. This is roasted duck with potatoes, asparagus, and ginger-lime carrots.
Day 136, May 16, 2011
I may have photographed Ox before, but if not, this is Ox, my companion whenever I travel :)
Day 133, May 13, 2011
Rob and I made gluten-free fried chicken with some delish fries from a bag. It was filling and amazing, and tasted like the real thing!

Day 131, May 11, 2011
My newest breakfast of choice: Chobani Greek yogurt with Udi's gluten-free granola! Lots of protein and yummy to boot.
Day 129, May 9, 2011
While I got my oil changed and snow tires taken off, I chilled out in the waiting room and finished "Bossypants" by Tina Fey. Excellent book!
Day 130, May 10, 2011
Rob and I tried a new recipe - "breaded" (w/ gluten-free bread crumbs) chicken with a sauce made of lime juice, dill, butter and chives, along with sour cream, chive, and butter mashed potatoes. It was yummy but a little too lime-y for our tastes.
Day 127, May 7, 2011
Day 126, May 6, 2011
Also at the gelataria is a world map, where you pin a small slip of paper on a country and write in three words or less why you would want to visit that country. I chose Russia and wrote "Language, Culture, Vodka."
Day 124, May 4, 2011
Rob and I adore this local gelataria that sells (obviously) gelato, as well as gluten-free sandwiches and soups. We had a light dinner there recently, and since they were out of gluten-free bread I ate this delicious potato and leek soup.
Day 123, May 3, 2011
I went with Robbie to watch his classmates do their symposium presentations on this grey, rainy day.
Day 121, May 1, 2011
Recently South Portland got a Chipotle and I have been in heaven ever since. I wish I was closer than 75 miles away :(
Day 122, May 2, 2011
This is one of the many vintage bottles Rob and I bought for our wedding decorations. This is an old Moxie bottle - if you're from Maine you know that Moxie is an absolutely disgusting Maine-based soda made of ginger. I think its distribution is now nationwide so you can find some in your own grocery store!

Day 118, April 28, 2011
I ate a huge lunch and couldn't eat much for dinner. So my husband basically ate the most non-gluten-free meal ever - breaded chicken strips with salad on a flour tortilla.
Day 117, April 27, 2011
It always looks like Cypress is cuddling with her toys and I think it's far too freaking adorable.
Day 114, April 24, 2011
This is a picture of me when I was a baby and I really think that my niece Brielle looks a lot like me :)
Day 112, April 22, 2011
Another gelato date! This time Rob ate azzurokrem flavor - it was delicious!
Day 111, April 21, 2011
This was actually taken around Easter. I had a moment where I realized how amazing my husband was and I wanted to capture the exact moment. Here we're driving around Washington County. :)

Day 109, April 19, 2011
I will be much happier when this skyline has more green and sun in it.
Day 108, April 18, 2011
We bought a new bookcase for our guest room recently. I like how it's currently laid out. Notice my tattoo trophy on the top (where the hell else am I supposed to put such a gratuitous trophy?) and on the third shelf down, I framed the original drawing of my half-sleeve. Now we just need a guest or two :)
Day 107, April 17, 2011
Day 106, April 16, 2011
I have to admit that this was not taken on April 16, and for that I apologize. Regardless it is a very yummy dessert - chocolate and currant gelato!
Day 105, April 15, 2011
Rob and I make this meal relatively frequently. It includes gluten-free pasta, tomato basil pasta sauce, Italian dressing, cream cheese, broccoli, and mushrooms. Very yummy.

Day 104, April 14, 2011
My sister-in-law, Becky's little Havanese beast, Zeke. I call him Falcor. This was taken after a particularly taxing play session.
Day 102, April 12, 2011
On an impulse I bought an old-school virtual pet that I used to have when I was in 5th or 6th grade. I wanted to relive all that nonsense plus have one of these for when I have kids. :)

Day 100, April 10, 2011
When I drive with the dog, this is how close she gets to me looking for snuggles.
Day 99, April 9, 2011
I am sorry that I have been so horrible at updating this blog lately. Not sure what has come over me.
On April 9, I co-shot a wedding with a good friend of mine who is a full-time pro photographer. This particular wedding took place at a bowling alley, and the bride and groom were self-described nerds. Hence this awesome Pac-Man cake :)Sunday, April 10, 2011
Day 98, April 8, 2011
This was taken from my bed (you can kind of see me in the TV). I wanted to show the two framed things we have in our room - I took several letters that Rob and I exchanged during our time apart (while he was in the Army and I was in high school/college/Russia) and framed them in a collage sort of format; I also framed a bunch of envelopes from and to various locations throughout our four years apart.
Day 97, April 7, 2011
I post a lot of pictures of my dog, but this one was just too ridiculous - my dog weighs 70 lb and somehow takes up the entire couch.
Day 96, April 6, 2011
When I got my hair cut this week I was accosted by these vicious beasts.

Day 93, April 3, 2011
When Cypress gets sick she hides by the door. Being creepy, as always.
Day 92, April 2, 2011
Since I went gluten-free, I've had a tough time finding a good, believable pizza crust. I got some mixes from Bob's Gluten Free for Christmas and Rob and I tried them out - definitely the most realistic pizza crust I've had in the 9 months since I went GF.
